Can I plant a new tree in the same spot?
Usually yes, but not immediately. After grinding, we recommend removing or mixing in the leftover wood chips with fresh topsoil, since decomposing wood chips can temporarily rob nitrogen from the soil as they break down, which stunts a new planting.
